Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated team in Durham, North Carolina. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock errors. You will work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure that inventory data is precise and up-to-date. Responsibilities also include assisting with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper stock rotation and organization. A keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure correct stocking.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and report findings.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO).
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics staff to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and adjustments.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
