About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing customer orders, ensuring timely shipment and customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse efficiently using scanning equipment to locate products, verifying item accuracy, and preparing items for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail to ensure order accuracy and prevent errors. You will be expected to meet productivity targets while maintaining high standards of quality. The role also involves assembling and preparing shipping containers, applying labels, and moving packages to the shipping area. Adherence to all warehouse safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders using RF scanners and other equipment.
- Verify product information against order details.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Assemble shipping boxes and prepare them for outgoing orders.
- Label packages accurately and apply necessary shipping documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks to ensure order accuracy.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus, but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles. Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting, typically up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be reliable and punctual. A commitment to workplace safety is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
