Our fast-growing logistics company in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately logging, inspecting, and organizing all deliveries. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount to ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the smooth operation of our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and document any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure quality standards are met.
- Unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Tag and label received items accurately for inventory tracking.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and enter data into the inventory system.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment for our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory management is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy logistics setting.
