About
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operators for our busy Indianapolis, Indiana distribution center. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise in operating forklifts is critical to our logistics flow, ensuring products are transported accurately and without damage. We are dedicated to a high standard of Safety, and require all operators to be proficient in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a hands-on position that requires precision, vigilance, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and load/unload inventory.
- Safely transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and traffic rules.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking and packing.
- Properly use all required PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Participate in regular Safety training and uphold a Safety-first culture.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Excellent understanding of forklift operation best practices and Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
