Become a key player in our Durham, North Carolina distribution center as a Receiving Clerk! This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and logging all incoming shipments. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount in this role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
- Report any damages or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory put-away as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including some Lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
