In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move pallets of products, raw materials, and finished goods. A strong understanding of warehouse layout and logistics is beneficial. We emphasize a culture of safety, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all company policies and OSHA regulations. Regular equipment checks and maintenance will be part of your responsibilities to ensure operational readiness. This role involves collaboration with other warehouse staff to streamline operations and minimize delays. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and retrieve products from high shelves.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some Lifting.
- Contribute to efficient logistics operations through precise material handling.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to using PPE correctly at all times.
