We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away operations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Adhere to all company policies and guidelines related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and proper use of PPE.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
