Become a vital part of our logistics hub as a Forklift Operator in Austin, Texas! We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of goods within our state-of-the-art facility. This role is critical for maintaining efficiency in our receiving, storage, and shipping processes. You will operate forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trailers, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels. A strong focus on safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. We are committed to providing a secure workplace, and expect all team members to consistently use appropriate PPE and follow all safety guidelines. Your proficiency in forklift operations directly contributes to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Safely load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Conduct daily pre-shift checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records by scanning and updating the system.
- Follow all safety regulations, including strict adherence to PPE requirements and safe lifting practices.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics operations.
- Must be able to perform manual lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrable experience.
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift objects.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Reliable and committed to workplace safety.
