We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker at our Columbus, Ohio, distribution center. As an integral part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders with speed and precision. This involves navigating our warehouse, utilizing order sheets or handheld scanners to identify and retrieve specific products, and ensuring the correct quantities are picked. Accuracy and efficiency are key to maintaining our high standards of service. Your safety and well-being are paramount, and we enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE. This position requires consistent physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting up to 45 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory movements.
- Consolidate picked items for transport to packing or shipping areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of your picking zone.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Report any stock inaccuracies or damaged items to your supervisor.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily picking targets.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is desirable.
- Capability to perform lifting up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods in a logistics setting.
- Willingness to strictly follow safety protocols and utilize PPE.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
