Dedicated and compassionate Support Worker with experience supporting children and young people in an 16+ residential care settings. Experience in managing challenging behaviour, promoting emotional well-being, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Skilled in promoting independence, giving advice and encouragement regarding personal care, and building positive relationships. Holds NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Trained in safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques. Key Skills: * Emotional and behavioral support * Child safeguarding and protection * De-escalation and behaviour management * Report writing and record-keeping * Communication with families and professionals * Promoting independence and self-esteem Education & Training: * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or Health and Social Care with Children & Young People) * Safeguarding Children Level 2/3 * First Aid and Fire Safety * Team Teach / MAPA (if applicable) Salary £15.00 per hour
