Tecnar is an innovative company specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced technological solutions.
We are looking for an electrical and automation engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The selected candidate will actively participate in the design, development, improvement, and support of electrical and automated systems integrated into our technological products.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and be registered (or eligible to be registered) as a full engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

Responsibilities :

  • Design electrical diagrams for low-voltage distribution systems (
  • Design industrial control circuits and interfaces with programmable logic controllers
  • Select appropriate electrical technologies and components (drives, sensors, circuit breakers, etc.)
  • Develop, test, and optimize programmable logic controller (PLC) programs
  • Contribute to product development in collaboration with the mechanical and software teams, participating in the definition of priorities and the choice of the most efficient technical solutions in terms of time, cost, and resources.
  • Contribute to the improvement of assembly processes (plas, details, procedures, test plans).
  • Support the commissioning or production team in repairing or troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Participate in the assembly and testing of prototype or custom units.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or equivalent
  • Full member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or eligible to become one).
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • Experience with Siemens / TIA Portal PLCs
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
