Job Description:
The Border Patrol Agent (BPA) works under the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), responsible for safeguarding America by preventing and deterring illicit activity at or near the borders.
- Detect, question, and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations
- Prevent undocumented noncitizens and smugglers from entering the country
- Maintain surveillance using infrared scopes during night operations
- Follow tracks, marks, physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband
