The U.S. Border Patrol is a law enforcement agency responsible for safeguarding the borders of the United States.
- Safeguard America's borders from various threats, including illegal immigration and smuggling.
To accomplish this mission, our agents work in diverse environments to detect and prevent unauthorized crossings along nearly 6,000 miles of international land border between ports of entry. They patrol on foot or by vehicle within extreme weather conditions.
Our agents must be physically fit and capable of performing tasks that require strength endurance as well as mental toughness due to prolonged periods away from home during shifts spanning long hours at night or under challenging climatic situations requiring survival skills.,
