Border Security Specialist

This is a dynamic opportunity to join the elite team of law enforcement professionals working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

• To be eligible for this position, candidates must have one year of specialized experience, including detaining suspected violators, enforcing customs laws, utilizing intelligence techniques, conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity, making rapid judgments and decisions.

1. Detecting individuals or organizations attempting to circumvent regulations or smuggle prohibited items into the United States.

• Holding detainees at facilities such as detention centers until they can be processed through deportation procedures;


• Conducting thorough background checks on all suspects before bringing them forward for further questioning;
  The CBPO conducts inspections inspect cargo/bags/merchandise upon arrival from other countries; determining whether there are any unauthorized goods present within those containers that would breach import/export restrictions imposed by federal authorities - including controlled substances!
