Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role
Position: Underground Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator
Schedule: 5/2/4/3 - 9 Hour Days or 4/3 - 10 Hour Days
Position Reports To:Underground Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator
Role Summary
The position serves as the link between the Underground Major Materials Coordinator and the Mobile Maintenance team. Over $65 million in goods are transferred between the teams annually, and this role is essential in ensuring the flow of goods is organized and timely. The position's other main responsibility is to coordinate the component core return and repairable process.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Underground Major Materials Coordinator with material tracking and planning
Responsible for the repair/return process for major capital components (repair/return of stock/direct charge items)
Manage material staging areas
Monitor Return to stock process (Tag System)
Manage the RFQ process
Assist Maintenance Planners with material tracking and planning
Assist with long term planning and staging (update WO of material locations)
Ensure Spares holding integrity
Attend required Work Management meetings
Work with Vendors and Buyers to ensure cost effective solutions are identified and implemented
Process Material number and inventory requests and forward for approval
Report and recommend on inventory increases/decreases for mobile components
Maintain yard and facility cleanliness and organization.
Support production processes by ensuring the availability of parts for critical equipment
Coordinate and execute all 5S projects as assigned by the Supervisor
Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are upheld in alignment with New Gold policies, promoting a safe and injury-free workplace
Deliver efficient and timely services to customers and collaborating departments to meet or exceed business requirements
Operate equipment safely and in compliance with relevant regulations
Foster effective communication and strong working relationships with customers and interfacing departments to support the achievement of business objectives
Self-Starter with an ability to work alone safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
Responsible for keeping accurate records, updating inventory information as needed
Entry/update of records in Excel, SAP, Word and various Microsoft applications
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Identify critical spare parts for new and existing equipment and ensure components are held at appropriate locations as per material number and inventory request procedures
Review maintenance schedule and coordinated with warehouse to plan for parts and components
Receive parts and component from warehouse and stage/prep for maintenance team
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 diploma would be an asset
Valid drivers license
Min 1 year experience in an industrial setting would be an asset
SAP experience an asset
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $65,000 to 77,500.
