MTK Technologies, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Savoy, is seeking an experienced *Network Administrator.*
Key Responsibilities:
* *Network Architecture:* Design, configure, and deploy high-performance networking hardware across diverse client sites.
* *Connectivity & Routing:* Manage and troubleshoot complex routing protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
* *Security & Remote Access:* Lead the implementation of VPNs and VLANs; manage firewall rule-sets and security whitelisting.
* *Performance Optimization:* Monitor network health to eliminate bottlenecks and optimize bandwidth for VoIP and cloud services.
* *Physical Infrastructure:* Perform hands-on installation of networking gear, including rack mounting and hardware refreshes.
Required Skills & Experience:
* *Hardware Proficiency:* Advanced hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting:
* *Firewalls:* *Untangle*, Fortinet (FortiGate), SonicWall, and Sophos.
* *Routing & Switching:* MikroTik and Ubiquiti (UniFi/EdgeRadio).
* *Technical Documentation:* Proficiency in creating clear, detailed network diagrams, IP schemes, and technical SOPs for client sites.
* *Core Networking:* Expert-level understanding of the OSI model, subnetting, and network topology.
* *Problem Solving:* Ability to use packet capture tools and diagnostics to resolve complex connectivity issues.
Preferred Experience (The "Plus" Areas):
* *Microsoft 365 Administration:* Experience managing Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and SharePoint permissions.
* *Server Administration:* Familiarity with *Windows Server (2016–2022)*, Active Directory/Group Policy, and *Hyper-V* virtualization.
* *MSP Background:* Previous experience working in a multi-tenant Managed Service Provider environment.
Additional Requirements:
* A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for client site visits.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for hardware installs.
Compensation & Benefits:
* *Starting Wage:* $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
