What You'll Be Contributing:
Bid Phase Support
- Collaborate with Proposal & Construction teams to identify subcontracting needs and suppliers during bid preparation;
- In collaboration with key stakeholders, prepare subcontracting strategies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for inclusion in bids;
- Evaluate potential subcontractors and assist in prequalification processes.
Contract Development & Negotiation
- In collaboration with Proposal & Construction teams;
- Draft, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements ensuring compliance with project requirements and legal standards;
- Define scope of work, deliverables, and performance metrics for subcontractors;
- Secure favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risk exposure.
Contract Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all subcontract agreements and amendments;
- Monitor subcontractor performance against contractual obligations, schedule, and quality standards;
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Claims & Dispute Management
- Identify potential claims early and implement strategies to mitigate disputes;
- Manage resolution of subcontractor claims, variations, and disputes in collaboration with legal and project teams;
- Prepare documentation and support negotiations or arbitration as required.
Risk & Change Management
- Assess contractual risks and develop mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle;
- Manage change orders and ensure timely incorporation into subcontract agreements;
- Communicate impacts of changes on cost, schedule, and scope to stakeholders.
What You'll Be Contributing:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field;
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in subcontract management within construction or EPC projects;
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management principles;
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
- Proficiency in contract management systems and MS Office Suite;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;
- Established project management skills;
An essential component of this position is business travel, mainly to the United States. It is a requirement of this position that the candidate satisfy the applicable criteria set by the US Immigration and Nationality Act for business travel to the United States, which criteria include, for example, the ability to demonstrate that they are a citizen or national of a country that is eligible for the Visa Waiver Program or are otherwise visa exempt.
