Summary:
The Inventory Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate and efficient inventory management across the supply chain operations. This position is responsible for supporting the tracking, monitoring, and organization of inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment, and minimizing stock discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in inventory systems and processes. This role is essential in supporting seamless warehouse operations, reducing waste, and contributing to overall supply chain efficiency. By maintaining accurate records and collaborating with procurement, logistics, and sales teams, the Inventory Assistant ensures that the organization meets customer demand while optimizing inventory turnover and reducing carrying costs.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and logging incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor stock levels and flag low-stock items for timely reordering
  • Support the preparation of inventory reports, including aging reports, cycle count summaries, and variance analyses
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure proper labeling, categorization, and accessibility
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to coordinate restocking and shipment schedules
  • Assist in implementing inventory control policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Track and document damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory for proper disposition
  • Support audit preparation by providing documentation and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards

Requirements Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in supply chain, logistics, or business preferred
  • Must be a United States resident or Citizen
  • 1 year of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control methodologies
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning technology and warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, hand trucks)
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues
