IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst
Brampton - Hybrid (2-3 days from Office)
Contract : 6Months
1) Asset Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate and up to date inventory of hardware, software, and cloud assets (AWS / Azure / GCP if applicable).
• Update and reconcile asset records in ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, SCCM, Jira, etc.
• Track full asset lifecycle from procurement → deployment → maintenance → retirement/disposal.
• Perform regular audits to validate asset ownership, physical location, and configuration accuracy.
2) Software License Management
• Track software entitlements, usage, and compliance against vendor licensing terms.
• Support license renewals, true ups, and vendor audit activities.
• Identify unused or underutilized licenses to drive cost savings and optimization.
• Generate usage and compliance reports using discovery tools such as SCCM, Jamf, Intune, BigFix, etc.
3) Hardware Asset Management
• Monitor hardware health, warranty status, AMC, and EOL (End of Life) schedules.
• Support provisioning and deployment teams with equipment assignment and recovery.
• Coordinate with procurement for new purchases, returns, and replacements.
• Oversee secure disposal of assets following data wipe and compliance standards.
4) Cloud & SaaS Asset Management (If Applicable)
• Track cloud resource consumption, tagging compliance, and cost allocation.
• Manage SaaS subscriptions including renewals, user provisioning/deprovisioning, and usage monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to optimize cloud and SaaS spending.
5) ITAM Process Governance
• Follow and enhance ITAM processes based on ITIL lifecycle, change management, request management, and CMDB standards.
• Ensure asset records comply with CMDB data models and configuration relationships.
• Support policy enforcement in collaboration with procurement, security, and service management teams.
6) Reporting & Analytics
• Develop dashboards and reports for:
o Asset counts
o Compliance status
o Cost and usage trends
o Lifecycle stages (EOL/EOS)
• Provide periodic metrics and dashboards to management and audit teams.
7) Incident, Request & Audit Support
• Resolve ITAM related incidents and service requests within SLA.
• Provide asset related data and documentation for internal/external audits.
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions across teams.
Technical Skills – Required
• 2–5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Operations, or IT Service Management.
• Hands on experience with ITAM tools such as:
o ServiceNow ITAM / CMDB, Flexera, Snow, Lansweeper, SCCM, Intune, Jamf, BigFix
• Good understanding of:
o Hardware lifecycle processes
o Software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
o Cloud/SaaS cost structures (optional)
• Strong Excel, reporting, and data analysis skills.
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework (Incident, Change, CMDB, Request).
• Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract/license structures.
• Experience with automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python) is an advantage.
