We are seeking a Senior Project Controller to join our growing Project Management team in British Columbia. You will lead project controls functions on complex electrical utility and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet key performance indicators in cost, schedule, scope, and compliance while aligning with our customers internal project controls and project delivery frameworks.
We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home AND our Vancouver office.

Primary Responsibilities
Plan, develop and maintain project planning and controls processes, tools and techniques throughout the whole project life cycle
Perform financial project management support activities including project breakdown set up, estimating, monitoring and forecasting
Define the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and project detailed schedules in collaboration and coordination with project team
Resource and cost load the schedule baselines considering the project requirements including critical path, dependencies and constraints
Actualize the project cost and schedules and measure project achievement against the performance measurement baseline, identify corrective actions and report issues, variances, trends and forecast to project stakeholder
Coordinate with project team to perform change management and adjust schedule to accommodate risks, scope changes, design changes, etc.
Assess the progress of the project, taking into account its size and complexity, and update detailed and master schedules, integrate changes, analyze impacts and ensure communication with managers
Determine and analyze the critical and near critical path, identify schedule issues and propose solutions to the client to optimize schedules
Prepare cost baseline and cashflow, identify cost risk, monitor cost performance against project budget and report variances
Perform earned value analyses, determine the status of key indicators (SPI and CPI) and communicate project progress, EVM report and associated risks to the clients and the project team leads
Participate in the review process of contractors' schedules and validate key milestones based on contractual requirements and project objectives
Actively participate in the schedule risk management strategy
Work in collaboration with project team and provide project control support from planning phase through implementation phase to closing phase
Qualifications
University Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in controlling and planning large-scale projects in the construction field
Excellent knowledge of planning and scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
