Our Vancouver, BC location is interested in hearing from 3D Generalists Specializing in Model/ Texture/ Shade Organic focused, but Hard Surface skills a plus, for future openings.
The 3D Generalist is responsible for creating photorealistic modeling, texturing and shading for either organic and/or hard surface.
Responsibilities:
Create high resolution digital assets including textures, from various references, including photographic, that meet all production requirements
Work closely with team members and produce assets as required within our VFX pipeline
Implement best practices and anticipate potential issues
Work with team members to address notes
Work to ensure internal and external deadlines and deliveries are met with budgeted hours
Share knowledge and techniques with team members to improve overall team skills and asset quality
Apply secondary skill sets in other areas when waiting for alternate assignments
Qualifications:
3 – 5+ years' experience in high resolution modeling, texturing and shading
Experience with photo-real asset building, texturing and shading
Specializing in model/texture/shade organic, but hard surface skills a plus
Proficiency in Maya
Experience with MARI and Substance Painter
Experience with Procedural Modeling skills with Houdini
Zbrush and Mudbox a plus
Knowledge of Karma
Working knowledge of Shotgun, a plus
Pro-active team member who demonstrates a strong sense of creativity and respect for aesthetics
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and follow through
Positive attitude, hard worker, flexible schedule for deliveries
Ability to work self-directed and also follow specific directions when given
Additional Information
British Columbia Employees approximate Pay Range: $35 - $55 (The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)
Applicants must reside in British Columbia, Canada. (Some US Artists may be considered) At the moment this is a work from home position with the option of working within our studio
Zoic does not cover relocation costs
All remote positions require the candidate to have a reliable internet connection via ethernet and work on Pacific Standard Time
