OUR IDEAL PROJECT MANAGER:
As our Commercial Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial mechanical projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. From clear communication and efficient planning to tackling unforeseen challenges, your leadership will make a tangible impact on every project's outcome.
We're Looking For Someone Who Meets These Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing commercial plumbing and/or HVAC projects
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and construction practices
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and manage time accordingly by prioritizing and strong organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
PMP Certification is an asset
Journeyman Plumber certification is an asset
Experience with design-build projects an asset
And Who Can Manage These Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead commercial plumbing projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring scope, labour, and deliverables are managed effectively.
Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor labour, pricing, budgets, and change orders to maintain financial accuracy and prevent cost overruns.
Scheduling: Track project timelines, coordinate staffing, and address delays to keep projects on schedule.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards, documentation requirements, and company policies across all project activities.
Procurement: Issue purchase orders and coordinate material sourcing and deliveries to align with project schedules.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in company systems, including work orders, communications, and project changes.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, escalating issues that impact timelines or budgets.
Quality Control: Monitor field progress and documentation to ensure installations meet company and industry standards.
