Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac) is seeking a Senior Advisor, Communications & Organizational Change Management (OCM) to work out of our office in St. Albert, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of corporate communications and OCM strategies and plans in support of Al-Pac's business objectives. This includes collaborating with internal clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, professional, impactful corporate communications and OCM services and products. At the direction of the Manager, Communications & OCM, the Senior Advisor leads communications and OCM projects, responds to business service requests, and develops and implements communications and OCM plans to support business functions, projects, and initiatives.

Role Responsibilities
Communications & OCM Operational Support
Support corporate communication and OCM activities, aligning performance of daily operations to key performance indicators (KPI's) to maintain operational excellence.
Implement communications and OCM strategies and develop related plans for internal clients.
Provide communications and OCM expertise, guidance, and best practice advice to internal clients.
At the direction of the Manager, lead projects to deliver high quality communication and OCM support.
Conduct OCM activities and execute tactics (e.g., conduct change impact assessments).
Work with vendors and external resources as required.
Continuously improve and enhance efficiencies, workflows, processes, and quality of work outcomes.
Proactively identify and recommend mitigation and potential risks that could affect tactical execution.
Content Creation
Draft, design, and edit professional communications, marketing, and other materials for print and digital platforms in alignment with Al-Pac's brand and quality standards.
Develop OCM materials as required.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Compliance
Support preparation of complex documents using a variety of computer applications and tools, research, analyse, gather, and summarize information and data, and develop reports, briefings, presentations, and information packages.
Comply with the organizations policies and procedures, standards, and codes of conduct to ensure individual work adheres to those standards.
Provide guidance to internal clients on compliance with corporate communications policies, standards, and best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement (Internal)
Engage and collaborate effectively with internal clients and stakeholders to develop and implement effective communications and OCM plans, activities, tactics, and materials in alignment with Al-Pac practices, accountabilities, and policies.
Collaborate across functions to execute tactical plans.
Build effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders and provide consistent professional services in support of business objectives.
Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology and industry best practices for communications and OCM with a continuous improvement focus.
Role Requirements
Post-secondary degree, preferably in communications, organizational change or a related field is required.
A minimum of five years of professional experience in corporate communications and OCM, preferably in the forest or natural resource development sectors is required.
Expertise in professional writing.
Experience with print and digital design and branding.
Other
Strong understanding of organizational change management principles and methodologies (Prosci certification is an asset), and experience applying OCM principles within a corporate setting.
Ability to collaborate with internal clients at all levels.
Experience with communications, graphic design and project management tools and programs.
Clear and effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for diverse audiences.
Strong computer skills to develop and support business processes.
The ability to develop and implement action plans to achieve objectives, including timelines and resource requirements.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage activities efficiently to meet business objectives.
Skilled in applying project management expertise to develop and implement project plans, set milestones, manage timelines, and coordinate resources.
Ability to understand and interpret policies, procedures, and standards.
Ability to engage with stakeholders and the public with professionalism, tact, discretion, good judgment, and trust.
Skilled in engaging in thoughtful inquiry with internal clients and stakeholders to gather insights, refine content, and ensure accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately.
