We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Software Engineer to join our growing team in Toronto. This hybrid role will see you at the forefront of designing, developing, and delivering robust software solutions, while also guiding and mentoring a talented team of engineers.
You will play a critical role in shaping our technical direction, ensuring high-quality code, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Drive the technical design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performance software solutions using .NET Core, ReactJS, ReactNative, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Actively contribute to hands-on coding, code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
Explore and integrate AI / LLM capabilities where they create meaningful value
Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful features.
Champion software architecture principles, design patterns, and maintain a strong focus on system reliability, security, and performance.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance to the team.
Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategic planning for our software products.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the team.
Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of professional experience in software development.
1-2 years of experience in leading and mentoring a team of software engineers.
Experience using AI powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex query optimization, database design, and performance tuning.
Proven experience developing and deploying robust .NET Core Web APIs.
Deep understanding and practical experience with RESTful API design principles and various configurations.
Strong proficiency in ReactJS for building modern, responsive front-end applications.
Solid grasp of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
Practical experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for .NET applications.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder, and diverse team environment.
Experience working effectively within a global delivery model.
Ability to work 1-2 days per week from our Toronto Harbourfront office.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Familiarity with other front-end frameworks like Angular.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of microservices architecture.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from CA$120,000 to CA$150,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications
