• Inspection of documents and possessions to determine citizenship status

1. Detecting suspicious activity and questioning individuals
2. Inspecting vehicles, vessels, and other means of transportation for contraband or prohibited items
3. Patrolling international boundary lines by foot or vehicle, using night vision equipment as needed
