Protecting the nation's borders and deterring illicit activity are key responsibilities of this role.
- Detecting individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and determining citizenship status.
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near borders, maintaining covert surveillance positions with the aid of infrared scopes and night operations.
- Interpreting physical evidence such as tracks marks to locate illegal entry points and contraband.
Skill Requirements: To excel in this position, one must possess excellent observation skills, be proficient in interrogating techniques, possess knowledge of customs regulations,
demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills for deciphering complex situations.
