Job Description
Danfoss seeks a Production Supervisor responsible for fulfilling business commitments related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. This role involves leading tactical decision-making, driving process enhancements, and executing first-line supervisory duties. The Shift Leader must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills. It is anticipated that the individual will dedicate 6 to 8 hours daily on the production floor, engaging in auditing, monitoring, coaching, and promoting continuous improvement
This is an onsite position at our Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following
Facilitates root-cause problem solving (RCPS) with employees to overcome obstacles to achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
Develops each team member to become effective in his/her job through training, counseling, and checking results. Monitors and evaluates performance of employees and provides feedback as required. Administers corrective disciplinary actions as needed.
Makes and executes decisions regarding work assignments that support KPIs and cross-training. Responsible for developing high-performing, flexible team(s).
Coaches the team(s) to achieve success. Fosters a culture of employee empowerment, high-performance and teamwork. Mentors team leaders and facilitates team-driven performance.
Takes responsibility for 5S activities within organization with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
Participates in establishing departmental goals relative to labor utilization and department efficiency. Maintains established headcount levels and processes headcount requests to maintain healthy levels.
Monitors conformance to company and quality policies, rules and regulations and ensures compliance.
Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
Understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel are required.
Written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary education is preferred, but not required.
Candidates with formal technical training/certifications are preferred.
