About

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric + Power BI specialist to integrate a new MOXA IoT sensor API into our existing Fabric Lakehouse architecture.
This is NOT a greenfield setup. We already have a working Fabric environment and Power BI reports. The goal is to integrate one additional sensor cleanly and scalably.
Scope of Work
• Connect securely to MOXA REST API
• Ingest raw API data into Bronze layer
• Transform and normalize data (Bronze → Gold) using Notebooks
• Handle schema validation and type optimization
• Integrate into existing fact/dimension model (or create new tables if needed)
• Update semantic model
• Adjust DAX measures if required
• Update existing Power BI report (or add new page if required)
• Implement logging, validation, and reconciliation checks
• Perform end-to-end testing
Environment
• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse architecture: Bronze / Silver / Gold)
• Notebooks (preferred over Dataflows)
• Power BI semantic model
• Existing reporting already in production
Deliverables
• Working ingestion pipeline
• Clean Gold layer integration
• Updated semantic model
• Validated Power BI report
• Basic technical documentation
Requirements
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience integrating REST APIs into Fabric
• Strong SQL + PySpark / Notebook experience
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling
• Power BI + DAX experience
• Experience with incremental loads and schema evolution
Nice to Have
• Experience with IoT / sensor data
• Experience optimizing Fabric capacity usage
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
