I am looking for an automation specialist to build a reliable system that generates an optimized cleaning schedule from a booking calendar export.
Objective
When I upload a booking export file (CSV/XLSX), the system should automatically:
Import booking data
Apply defined scheduling rules
Generate a structured cleaning plan
Output an Excel file containing:
Cleaning schedule (date, time, property, assigned team)
Warning/conflict list
The system must be rule-based and deterministic (no AI-based scheduling).
Core Logic
For each checkout:
Create cleaning task
Apply buffer time
Ensure completion before next check-in
Respect cleaning duration per property
Consider team working hours
Flag conflicts if scheduling is not possible
Tasks should be prioritized by urgency (earliest deadline first).
Technical Environment
Primary environment: Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power Automate, OneDrive/SharePoint), if possible
Preferred solution: Excel + Office Scripts + Power Automate.
However, I am open to Python-based solutions if well structured and maintainable, as long as the final output integrates cleanly with Excel.
Deliverables
Automated scheduling system
Configurable rules (durations, buffers, teams, etc.)
Clean documentation
Clear structure for future adjustments
Please provide examples of automation or scheduling systems you have built.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
