Industrial Electrician Apprentice

True North Salmon, a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada's Best Managed Companies Program, has an opportunity for a highly motivated and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician Apprentice to join the maintenance team based out of St. George, NB.

The Role

This position offers hands-on experience working in an industrial environment.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and interested in building a long-term career in industrial electrical maintenance.

Although this position is based out of our St. George facility, support to the maintenance departments of our 24/7 operations may be required. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist management with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, control systems, and related equipment
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
• Participate in on-the-job training and required technical training blocks

 To be successful in this position you must:

• Be a highly motivated team player who possesses outstanding communications skills
• Have strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills
• Be comfortable working in a fast paced, cold, damp environment.
