Location - This role is in-person at North Campus, Edmonton.
This position has a term length of one year plus one day from the date of hire. This position requires a flexible work schedule as early mornings, evenings, and weekend work is occasionally required.
Position Summary
This position supports work in clinical nutrition research studies and related activities. The main focus involves energy metabolism, protein metabolism, and dietary assessment. The successful candidate will be in contact with research participants and help with diverse activities as needed.
The Research Coordinator will work on several research projects and with patients with a variety of health conditions. The Research Coordinator will primarily work on projects where the study population is patients with or surviving cancer.
This position is aimed at both coordinating and supporting the PI and graduate students. The position required someone with substantial knowledge of human nutrition and someone who can work independently and problem-solve effectively and efficiently. The position also requires both research and administrative skills, including organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent writing/oral communication, adhering to deadlines, and to the University of Alberta policy/procedures and grant agency guidelines.
