What is the opportunity?
Alternative Investment Services provides Derivative Services for all Investor and Treasury Services Clients who participate in these products. Services include the valuation of all OTC and Exchange Traded Derivative Products, Full Security Master Creation and Modeling, Term Loan administration, as well as Trade Processing, Margin, & Collateral management and other settlement activities.
As the Manager of Derivative Operation in the Alternatives Investment team, you will be responsible for overseeing all transactions and assisting with the daily, monthly and annual administration of derivatives, as well as highly complex portfolios that deal in hedge and mutual funds. This role requires frequent collaboration with other internal operations and investment teams and external service providers (e.g., fund accounting, agents, and auditors).
What will you do?
- Acts as second-in-command to the Senior Manager and represents AIS with internal business partners and clients as required
- Oversees trade processing, settlements, end of day accounting and overall derivatives accuracy from a NAV perspective
- Accountable for the quality of the services delivered & for the management of a team or an activity - First level of escalation
- Accountable for procedures' validation and implementation and setting clear business objectives for all reports appraisals
- Promote quality client service by motivating, coaching and developing team members
- Identify and share development and training needs, design training plans for the year
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 3+ Experience in Fund Accounting, Derivatives Administration, Fund on Funds, Hedge fund, Pension Reporting and/or Equity Funds
- Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Computer Skills: MS office, knowledge and experience with Derivatives systems and integration
- Flexibility to meet scheduled shift work
Nice-to-have
- Securities experience
- Enrolment in CAIA/CGA/CMA/CFA or other recognized accredited program is desirable
- Working knowledge of GAAP

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$67, $110,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
