Position Summary
We have a current vacancy for a Security Coordinator to join our Team in Ottawa, ON. The Security Coordinator reports to the Security Manager and supports the Project Security Advisors by providing a range of administrative services to ensure:
• That security processes and procedures are up-to-date, appropriately communicated, understood and adhered to;
• That documentation is completed timely and accurately to support the Project Security Advisors in their role and document submissions to the various security programs.
Essential Functions
• Creating employee and temporary badges.
• Maintain access lists for restricted areas.
• Assist in managing and maintaining the key management system.
• Coordinate, track, validate and monitor visitors' access through Visit Management System.
• Act as and learn the role of an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO).
• Assist in providing ongoing basic education and awareness to employees on the corporate security program.
• Assist in the pre-onboarding and onboarding initiatives for new employees.
• Assist in the data-entry and administrative tasks that keep employee security records up to date.
• Follow company policies and processes to maintain all aspects of electronic filing systems including logging, retention, and disposal.
• Assist Project Security Advisors and the Security Manager when required.
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma in Office Administration or related field or equivalent experience
• Willingness to learn new/additional security related duties/functions as needed.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to be appointed as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) under the Contract Security Program.
• Good organizational and people skills.
• Proficient in or able to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Language: English (Essential)
• All applicants must be able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret security clearance and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program.
The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) 40,000.00 – 55,000.00 CAD Annual.
This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee's career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company's annual salary budget, the customer's program requirements, and the company's internal equity.
