About
This role is 100% performance-based (no base fee). You will propose the objectives/KPIs and your compensation terms tied to those objectives.
What you'll do
1) Channel & Video SEO
Keyword research (search intent + topic clusters)
Optimize titles, descriptions, tags, hashtags
Improve metadata consistency across the channel
Build a repeatable SEO workflow I can apply weekly
2) Packaging that improves CTR
Title frameworks and testing plan (multiple candidates per video)
Thumbnail strategy guidance and iteration process
Improve the first 30 seconds (hook, pacing, retention)
3) Analytics & Growth System
Audit YouTube Studio (CTR, retention curves, traffic sources, browse vs search)
Identify drop-off points and fixes
Create a weekly reporting dashboard + action plan
Recommend content pillars and a publishing strategy to grow both Search and Browse
4) Engagement & Subscription Growth
Comment strategy (pinned comments, prompts, community posts)
End screens/cards/playlists to increase session time and conversions
Initial Scope (first phase)
Full channel audit + prioritized opportunities
Keyword map + topic pipeline (with target keywords)
Optimization of a set of existing videos (titles/descriptions/tags + thumbnail improvement recommendations)
A repeatable weekly SEO + packaging SOP
30-day action plan and reporting structure
(You will propose the exact number of videos and timeline in your offer.)
Performance-Based Structure (You propose)
You must propose:
KPIs you will be measured on (e.g., CTR, average view duration, watch hours, views, subscriber growth, comments per 1,000 views)
Baseline (current performance) and measurement window (e.g., 28 days)
Attribution method (which videos you optimize, how results will be tracked)
Payment terms tied to measurable results (tiers/milestones/per-video outcomes)
Reporting cadence and what you will deliver weekly
Important: KPIs must be measurable inside YouTube Studio and agreed in writing before work begins.
Requirements
Demonstrated results growing YouTube channels using SEO + packaging + analytics
Strong understanding of YouTube search intent and browse discovery
Ability to write high-CTR titles aligned with the content (no misleading clickbait)
Comfortable with 100% performance-based compensation and clear KPI accountability
Clear weekly communication and reporting
Nice to Have
Experience with finance/economics/education channels
Experience running thumbnail/title tests and improving retention
