About
I operate a sports-based leaderboard / tournament-style website. The core system already exists and must remain structurally similar; however, I need a critical upgrade to the way picks are managed and accessed.
Scope of Work:
- Implement a paywall system that locks each pick after submission
- Picks will be entered via an admin panel only (no user submission forms)
- Users must pay to unlock/view individual picks or gated content (exact model can be discussed)
- Build a robust filtering system, including:
Most profitable
Highest win percentage
Sport-specific filtering (NBA, NHL, etc.)
Ensure data is clean, scalable, and leaderboard logic remains intact
Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with PHP and HTML (existing codebase is built on this)
- Proven understanding of paywall logic (not just Stripe buttons slapped on a page)
- Ability to work cleanly within an existing system rather than rebuilding from scratch
Domain Knowledge (Non-Negotiable):
- You must understand sports betting concepts (picks, ROI, win %, tracking performance)
- You must understand the product logic behind paid picks and gated access
- If you don't understand the business model, this will not be a good fit
Expectations:
- Looking for someone serious, decisive, and execution-focused
- Ability to deliver quickly and correctly
- Clear communication and ownership of the task
