About

Our client is hiring an highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a background in Power Generation to take control of large, highly visible projects that will drive business growth. In this six-month contract position, you’ll build groundbreaking solutions to service critical customer requirements. You’ll provide technical leadership and expertise in design, reliability, maintenance, and best practices for company electrical equipment, keeping in mind resources and ROI. Your Mission: Lead and mentor teams fulfilling large, unique projects of uncommon complexity, while championing effective processes and compliance with federal, state, and corporate safety standards. Advance and implement technical standards and specs, clarify technical business characteristics, and collaborate with management and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Analyze multifaceted electrical problems in varied equipment and systems, supplying expert direction and training to field engineers. Lead plans to improve electrical system reliability through tools such as root cause analysis, preventive maintenance optimization, and interdisciplinary system analysis. Conduct in-depth power system analyses, including protective device coordination, short-circuit, arc flash hazards, voltage drop, load issues, harmonics, transient motor start, and modifications for power factors. Recommend content and deliver technical presentations, internally and externally, including publishing papers. Four days on site, one home office day. Open to Houston as an alternate location. Your Background: Superior organizational and interpersonal skills. Track record of safety prioritization in the management of large complex power industry projects.. Microsoft Office Suite, software proficiency, and Project Management experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution. A minimum of 20 (twenty) years of engineering work in the petrochemical or natural gas industry. Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification is desirable.
