Description:

The primary duties of a Border Patrol Agent include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.

• Maintaining surveillance using infrared scopes during night operations to prevent and apprehend aliens at or near the borders.

Patrolling the international boundary is also an essential part of the job, typically done using vehicles or horses.

To excel in this role, one must possess excellent observational skills, be able to work effectively in high-pressure situations, and have strong communication skills. Additionally, proficiency in relevant languages such as Spanish can be beneficial for understanding immigrants' perspectives.
