What We Do
The Portfolio Construction Analyst will contribute to the creation and monitoring of model portfolios for Fidelity Portfolio Solutions' prospects and clients in partnership with Fidelity's Portfolio Construction Managers and Portfolio Strategists. The role is part of Fidelity's Portfolio Construction team that supports all of Fidelity's clients by providing portfolio construction expertise regarding Fidelity's product offerings, third party products, industry trends, and competitor intelligence. The Portfolio Construction Analyst will be involved in ongoing support of Fidelity Portfolio Solutions, which collaborates with advisors to build customized model portfolios.
How You'll Make An Impact
Contribute to asset allocation discussions and investment model portfolio strategy, oversight and execution
Utilize investment tools and market research to support actionable recommendations, including a detailed analysis of risk, return and diversification aspects of model portfolios
Partner with Portfolio Construction Managers and Portfolio Strategists to contribute to the creation of investment models for clients and prospects
Conduct third party manager research to develop a strong bench of investment options, using both quantitative and qualitative analysis
Monitor products used within model portfolios for notable changes and communicate impacts with the rest of the Fidelity Portfolio Solutions team
Develop relationships with Fidelity's Portfolio Construction Managers and Portfolio Strategists
Establish Fidelity Canada as an industry leader in portfolio construction
Build, maintain, and communicate with expert level of knowledge on portfolio construction
Identify opportunities to develop and execute portfolio construction strategies that will maximize market penetration and increase customer loyalty
Partner with Portfolio Strategists to educate and promote Fidelity's portfolio construction philosophy, process, performance, and competitive strengths
Assist in providing thought leadership and insights regarding the marketplace
Support Sales, Marketing & Corporate Affairs with timely & relevant information
Provide expert insights into the development of external investment communication material ensuring portfolio construction information is correct, compelling, and understood relative to competitor service offerings
Assist in the development and analysis of marketing and thought leadership pieces for the advisor channel
Support portfolio construction education for those with varying degrees of investment knowledge
Provide insight and counsel for investment solution improvement and product development initiatives
Provide support for Portfolio Construction Managers and Portfolio Strategists on ad hoc portfolio construction queries
What We're Looking For
Completion of a University degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years of investment market expertise
Exceptional analytical ability and technical skills, including an advanced level understanding of Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL, and Python
Strong knowledge of investment products and services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to successfully articulate detailed mechanics of portfolio construction, investment philosophy, and process
Proven experience performing complex data analysis

Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus A competitive annual range of $85,000 to $115,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
