About
We're a content agency working with a growing roster of clients across multiple niches. We're looking for a skilled short-form video editor to join our team as a second editor, producing approximately 5 videos per week across Instagram Reels and similar platforms — with strong potential to grow as we onboard more clients.
What You'll Be Editing
Fast-paced, engaging short-form content across a variety of clients and industries. Think punchy, hook-driven videos that stop the scroll and keep viewers watching. Reference styles: @jyedezylva and on Instagram — watch a few videos from both accounts before applying.
Your Responsibilities
Editing approximately 5 short-form videos per week to a high standard, working from raw footage and provided brand guides for each client. You'll be expected to take creative initiative — not just cut footage together, but actively think about what will make each video more engaging. This means adding motion graphics, logo animations, dynamic text, fast cuts, sound design, and any other elements that elevate the final product.
Who You Are
You have a proven track record editing short-form content that performs well. You understand pacing, hooks, and retention — you know why viewers swipe away and how to stop them. You're a strong communicator who can give realistic turnaround estimates, flag issues early, and take feedback well. You're proficient in English (written), reliable with deadlines, and self-directed enough to work without hand-holding.
Requirements
You must include a portfolio of short-form content you've edited. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. Please also write "I've watched the inspo accounts" at the top of your proposal so I know you've done your homework.
Tools
Open to any professional editing software — Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc. Just tell me what you use.
Engagement & Rate
This starts as an ongoing part-time contract with room to expand as we grow. Please quote your per-video rate in your proposal.
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
