As a Production Supervisor reporting to the Plant Manager - Tilbury, you will be responsible for scheduling and supervising all hourly production employees on their assigned shift. The incumbent also directs and manages certain indirect staff on the shift including Skilled Trades, Quality and Logistics departments. The Production Supervisor must be able to work on a 3 shift – 2-week rotation.
This role is responsible for:
- Orientating, training, mentoring and providing leadership to employees
- Reviewing and ensuring work assigned to employees is completed timely and in compliance with the MAHLE standard.
- Directing and managing indirect staff in the skilled trades, quality, stockroom, shipping and receiving areas.
- Communicating with employees to ensure that issues on shifts are communicated and acted upon as required.
- Analyzing and managing performance key metrics (production, scrap, downtime, rework, utilization, etc.)
- Accurate and timely processing and approval of daily time and attendance records via Dayforce in alignment with Company policy and our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Participation, implementation and compliance with MAHLE Production Systems Requirements
- Ensuring all customer quality requirements are met and take appropriate actions in the event of an issue, including, but not limited to, line/ tool repairs, rework, containment, management notification and escalation per MAHLE procedures.
- Providing necessary guidance, coaching and direction to employees in areas quality, production metrics, equipment and HSE
- Participating and leading the execution of tasks and initiatives for annual Goals and Objectives, Lean Manufacturing, Visual Factory, Benchmark and 5S Implementation and compliance.
- Ensuring appropriate ongoing communication with plant associates
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly audits are completed
- Ensuring that employees' training is compliant.
- Communicating, promoting and enforcing organizational policies and ensures adherence to departmental procedures in the areas of HSE, Quality, HR, etc.
- Conducting performance evaluations, monitors work performance and provides counseling /administration of discipline to employees as required
- Performing other related duties as assigned by management.
- Technological, Business or other diploma from a Community College.
- 3 to 5 years' manufacturing experience.
- Supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Technical experience in molding, assembly, equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- SAP experience is considered an asset.

Compensation Range: $69,090 - $115,150
