Account Manager - Utility Contractors
We're looking for a high-energy, results-driven Account Manager who thrives on building relationships, delivering technical expertise, and winning in competitive markets. This is more than a sales role It's about becoming a strategic partner to utility contractors, introducing innovative solutions, and driving measurable growth within your territory. You'll be the face of the organization, working directly with key accounts and supporting new relationships to strengthen partnerships and uncover new opportunities.
Day to Day
Build and strengthen trusted client relationships
Identify client needs, address service concerns, and position competitive advantages
Develop compelling proposals and confidently negotiate contracts
Deliver technical product expertise and consultative support
Stay ahead of industry trends through supplier seminars and training
Follow up on quotes and ensure deadlines are met or exceeded
Gather market intelligence to sharpen competitive strategies
Track, analyze, and report on sales activity and performance metrics
Responsibilities
Promote innovative industrial products and solutions tailored to utility contractors
Provide technical guidance to both internal teams and external partners
Lead and attend product training sessions to drive client engagement
Manage pricing, quotes, and competitive positioning to close business
Conduct proactive follow-ups to secure long-term customer loyalty
Accurately document sales activities and expenses
Requirements
Post Secondary Education or 3+ years of related industrial or utility experience
Strong knowledge of product specifications, contracts, and technical materials
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Clear understanding of market trends and competitive dynamics
Strong planning and organizational skills help you execute with precision
