About
We are a cannabis distributor with multiple in-house brands, launching new products monthly. This role is not for someone who creates generic, template-based designs. We need someone with a distinct artistic style that fits the alternative product space and understands cannabis branding, compliance considerations, and shelf appeal.
This will be ongoing work for the right person.
What You'll Be Designing:
Product packaging (mylar bags, jars, tubes, boxes, labels)
Display boxes and retail-ready counter units
New product concepts from scratch
Limited edition drops and promotional packaging
Print-ready dielines and production files
Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Strong portfolio featuring cannabis industry work
Fluent in Adobe Illustrator (advanced level)
Experience creating print-ready packaging files
Understanding of dielines, bleed, CMYK, and print production
Ability to work fast and meet deadlines
Strong eye for branding and visual identity
Ideal Candidate:
Has worked with cannabis brands before (must provide brand names)
Understands alternative / street / counter-culture aesthetics
Can design both premium and edgy concepts
Thinks beyond just "graphic design" — we want an artist with vision
Comfortable developing product concepts from scratch
Able to adapt to existing brand guidelines while elevating them

We launch products frequently, so speed and consistency matter. You should be able to:
Turn around packaging concepts quickly
Provide multiple creative directions
Collaborate with our team
Think strategically about shelf presence and consumer appeal
