Job Description:
You will be responsible for "Value-First" outreach. Instead of cold-asking for links, you will leverage our existing assets and offerings to build relationships:
- Business Mentions: Reach out to local businesses featured in our articles to let them know they've been spotlighted them.
- Event Partnerships: Contact local event organizers. Offer to feature their event in our high-traffic calendar in exchange for a backlink from their "Sponsors" or "Media" page.
- Nonprofit Partnerships: Contact local nonprofit organizations and offer a listing in our directory in exchange for a backlink on their website.
- Digital PR: Pitch our stories and guides to local organizations and news outlets to earn editorial mentions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Outreach: Use tools (or manual searching) to find contact info for business owners and event coordinators.
- Link Acquisition: Secure 10–15 high-quality, local backlinks per month.
- Content Distribution: Ensure our best evergreen guides are being shared by the right local stakeholders.
- Result Reporting: update shared spreadsheet with outreach attempts, warm leads, links placed, etc.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Link Building and Digital PR (Local SEO focus preferred).
- Excellent persuasive writing skills (you must be able to write emails that people actually want to open).
- Persistence: You understand that SEO is a volume and follow-up game.
Compensation:
We are open to a fixed-monthly or pay-per-link structure. This can be a growth role over time. Please provide a proposal for your preferred pay structure(s). This will likely range between 10-14 hours per week with room for future growth for the right person.
