About

PostHog Analytics Audit & Experimentation Expert
Overview
We're looking for a PostHog expert to audit our current implementation, identify tracking gaps, look into data discrepancies, and help us get the most out of PostHog's experimentation features. There is potential for ongoing work beyond the initial audit.
What We Need
We need someone who can dig in, identify what's broken or misconfigured, and give us clear, actionable instructions to fix it. Following the audit, we want to run experiments to optimize conversion — so experience with PostHog's A/B testing and feature flags is essential.
Scope of Work
The initial engagement has three parts:
Audit — Review our full PostHog implementation (event tracking, identify calls, person properties, funnels, session recordings, etc.) against a Rails 7 + PostgreSQL stack. Document what's working, what's missing, and what's misconfigured.
Fix Documentation — Provide specific, detailed technical instructions our development team can execute to correct any issues found. We don't just want a list of problems — we want a clear fix for each one.
Experimentation Setup — Help us properly configure and launch A/B tests and feature flag experiments. Advise on best practices for experiment design, statistical significance, and interpreting results within PostHog.
Tech Stack
Ruby on Rails 7 / PostgreSQL. PostHog is implemented on both the frontend and backend.
To Apply
You must include documented, verifiable experience with PostHog — links to case studies, portfolio work, client testimonials, or a description of specific PostHog projects you've completed. Applications without this will not be considered.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who has done this before, communicates clearly, and can work independently. You should be comfortable reading existing code, identifying instrumentation issues, and writing precise technical documentation for a development team to act on.
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: PostHog, Data Analysis, Analytics, Marketing Analytics, A/B Testing
