How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking an innovative Scrum Manager individual with an enthusiastic, high performing technology mind-set to work well with a team developing solutions to drive engagement and loyalty within our existing cardmember base and attract new customers to the AMEX brand. Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the quality delivery of applications and infrastructure components. The role will collaborate closely with Director, Senior Technical Program Managers, Technical Engineers, Architects and Leadership, to ensure completeness and efficiency of solutions while ensuring alignment to standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports facilitation of regular meetings and updates to keep all parties informed of project progress and any potential issues to ensure on-time delivery within project scope and budget.
- Participates in solution design discussions that provide technical oversight on complex APIs and/or application integrations.
- Completes the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, with guidance from peers and leaders.
- Monitors project progress and identifies and addresses any risks or deviations from the plan.
- Implements project quality standards and identifies inefficiencies in delivery processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations under supervision.
- Monitors and reports on risk status, ensuring timely resolution of any issues that arise.
- Provides support in managing Change Requests that arise during project implementation phase.
- Provides regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
- Supports Program Increment (PI) Planning meetings by preparing materials and documenting outcomes.
- Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, and/or comparable experience.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of Project Management.
- Knowledge of Technology Delivery.
- Knowledge of Agile management tools such as Jira, Rally, or similar platforms.
- Experience in project management, delivery management, or a related job within the technology sector.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
- Experience with Application Programming Interface (APIs), RESTful services, and middleware platforms.
- Certification in SPC (SAFe Program Consultant), SA (SAFe Agilist), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified. Practitioner), or PMP (Project Management Proement Professional) is a plus.
Hiring Range: $68,000 to $102,000 annually + bonus + benefits
