Join our thriving distribution center in Orlando, Florida, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders. In this role, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, carefully picking them according to order lists, and then preparing them for shipment. This involves accurate scanning of products, appropriate packaging to ensure safe transit, and timely movement of orders to the shipping area. Your efficiency and attention to detail directly impact customer satisfaction. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of accuracy. We emphasize a strong commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will play a vital part in our logistics chain, ensuring that our products reach our customers in excellent condition and on time. The ideal candidate is reliable, has good physical stamina, and is eager to contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Experience with order picking technologies and inventory systems is beneficial but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer order specifications using handheld scanners or order sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Package picked items securely and appropriately for shipping, using correct materials and methods.
- Label packages with shipping information accurately.
- Move packed orders to the designated shipping areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations, including the use of required PPE.
- Meet established picking and packing productivity goals.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and move packages weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and labels.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is a plus.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is helpful.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
