About
Our Chicago, Illinois, facility is seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our **Logistics** department. In this position, you will be responsible for accurately processing all incoming shipments. Key duties include verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting items for damage, and entering received goods into our inventory system. This role is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth supply chain. You must be detail-oriented and able to perform **Lifting** tasks as needed. Strict adherence to **Safety** procedures and the correct use of **PPE** is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight.
- Verify shipment contents against invoices and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for put-away.
- Ensure all **Safety** regulations are followed.
- Properly use **PPE** as required by the task and company policy.
- Perform **Lifting** and moving of packages as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with shipping personnel and management.
- Support the overall efficiency of **Logistics** operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of basic **Logistics** principles.
- Commitment to **Safety** and diligent use of **PPE**.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
