Are you a hardworking individual seeking a challenging and rewarding role? Our Baltimore, Maryland facility is looking for dedicated Material Handlers to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, picking, packing, and staging materials. You will operate various types of equipment, ensuring materials are handled with care and accuracy. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring a smooth flow of inventory from arrival to dispatch. The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, and possesses a strong work ethic. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques. This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment. You'll be part of a supportive team committed to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Stage materials for shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts - with proper certification).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular equipment checks.
- Report any damages or discrepancies immediately.
- Perform tasks involving significant Lifting and manual handling of goods.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Support the overall Logistics and warehouse functions.
- Ensure the correct use of required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent Lifting. Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Must be reliable and punctual. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of Logistics operations is a plus.
