We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Denver, Colorado. This position is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will operate forklifts and other equipment to move, store, and retrieve materials, contributing directly to our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of material handling equipment, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers accurately and safely.
- Move inventory to and from storage locations, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Stack, unstack, and arrange materials on pallets and in designated storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections of material handling equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with established safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times when handling materials or operating equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is mandatory.
- Valid forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Good spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy in handling materials.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory principles.
