About
Seeking a reliable and efficient Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Indianapolis, Indiana facility! This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying product accuracy, preparing goods for dispatch, and maintaining organized shipping and receiving areas. Key duties include unloading trucks, inspecting items for damage, accurately documenting shipments, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong attention to detail, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Safety is paramount; therefore, you must strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE. This position involves regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Keep receiving and shipping areas clean and organized.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Communicate with carriers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
